PACC EDC MEETING 5-27-16

7:30 am - Meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance

Reports: 

• Mark Schillig (Southgate Corp) – 95 acre parcel on Refugee & 310, Hazelton Crossing, was approved for development, Southgate has a “proposed” 60,000 sq. ft. multi-tenant building at 1225 Etna Parkway, they are negotiating with two tenants, at this time no one has signed. 
• building a 65,000 sq. ft. building in Etna – 2 tenants lined up so far
• Diane Grove (PACC) – Chamber Meetings, June 21 – Tall Timbers, July 19 – LMHS Pataskala, August 16 – Pataskala Grace, Sept 16 – Golf Outing-Cumberland Trails
• Laura Edelblute (LMHS) – new building on W Main in Newark, surgeons & family practice, Downtown Newark-urgent care & family practice, Movie night moved to July 8^th, For Your Health 5k is July 23 at Dawes
• Bob Jennell (SWL Schools) – 235 Kindergartners already registered for fall, there will be a levy on the fall ballot for 2 new schools-HS & grades 4&5, estimated to be 6.5 mills
• Nathan Strum (Grow Licking County) – 80 people attended Connect Seminars, will have more in the fall, 50 projects in the works
• Chris Strayer (Columbus 2020) -  158 projects in the pipeline, 35% manufacturing, 10% warehouse, 35% call centers & offices
• Scott Fulton (Pataskala) – Survey of Pataskala residents got approx. 2000 responses, City will approach some of the restaurants with survey results, city working on hiring City Planner
• BJ King (Pataskala) – ODOT to repave RT 310 mid-July starting at Rt40 and working north, will be complete for the Street Fair, Local paving projects will start June 6^th
• Mike Compton (Pataskala) – Pataskala Meats opened on broad, planning ribbon cutting ceremony soon, hiring part-time HR person, Memorial Day ceremonies 10:00 Pataskala Cemetery-11:00 Veterans Memorial, Flags Over Pataskala June 11-Town Hall B-day party, Fireworks July 2, Farmers Market June 3 and WLFFA selling ads in Street Fair Booklet
• Rob Platte (Etna) – Housing development in the works on Smoke Rd & Rt40, Palmer Rd construction should be finished by end of 2016, Rt 310 Bridge project will be completed by late 2017, ODOT approved additional 2 mil for 310 widening to 5 lanes starting spring 2017, Etna working on an entertainment district-should be issue on fall ballot, Amazon gave tour of new facility-4 floors opening in Sept 2016, looking into busing for future employees
• Laura Edelblute (Rotary) – Rotary has been making improvements to Karr Park
