PACC EDC MEETING 3-31-17
Present:  Brian Moore, Laura Edelblute, Mike Compton, BJ King, Nate Strum, Mark Schillig, Debbie Kohman, Laura Edelblute, Todd Griffith & Diane Grove
7:30 am - Meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance
Reports: 
 
·         BJ King (City of Pataskala) AEP is close to finishing plans for facility at the corporate park. Update coming soon. Depot Street Coffeehouse will hold a Ribbon Cutting on April 15th at 10:00am.  The city is moving to prohibit the growth of marijuana in the city. City is gearing up for road paving & bridge projects-$600,000 of local funds. Ground breaking for the new police station set for late July. Building will be 16,000 sq ft. Hazelton Town Center possibly will expand with another building. More housing going up at Broadmore Commons on Broad St and a development is expected behind Coughlin Automotive. Working with AEP to finish up the Main Street Project downtown. 
·         Nate Strum (Grow Licking County) GB Foods recently announced that it will be opening a facility in Heath. There are 3 to 40 more deals almost ready to announce. There will be park & trail improvements. Prologis & CRE have projects possible in Etna. As of December 2016 Amazon had hired 2,638 people according to the TIRC report. Nate will participate at Dancing with the Licking County Stars at the Midland.
·         Mark Schillig (Park Shai) Park Shai Real Estate is very busy.
·         Todd ???? (LH Schools) Quizbowl team is going to nationals. Choir went to ONEA District and did well. 2 wrestlers went to state. 4.99 mil levy issue will be on the ballot. State would add almost 21 million if the levy passes.
·         Diane Grove (Pataskala Chamber) Nice article in the Post about the March meeting. April 18th meeting will be at PUMC with a cyber security speaker. PACC Golf Outing will be on Friday, July 14th at Willow Run.
·         Laura Edelblute (LMHS) New building in downtown Newark is very busy. Walk with a Doc on Saturday, April 1st at Wildwood Park in Granville.
·         Laura Edelblute (United Way) Chamber meeting donation from March meeting was $425. United Way has a lot of local programs and are looking for ways to get the word out to the public and business community.
·         Mike Compton (Mayor of Pataskala) Police will be nice and efficient- first new building built by the city since 1960. Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday, April 1st- 17,000-20,000 eggs were filled with treats & prizes. Cones & Concoctions was purchased back by the original owner and will be reopening around May 1st.
