Ryan Graham will present on the current cyber landscape related to ransomware.  In recent years, ransomware has become one of the most prevalent tool used by cyber criminals to extort money from people and businesses.  In his presentation, Ryan will provide both the background, and the current trends related to ransomware, and touch upon certain practical aspects to consider in responding to a ransomware attack, including the potential to contact law enforcement, and methods of planning ahead to minimize disruption and liability.  To demonstrate the potential harm of a ransomware attack, the presentation will focus on recently publicized ransomware incidents that have disrupted businesses’ continuity of operations.
