Program Coordinator

 

Job Responsibility:

Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, this position focuses on managing the logistics, details, and execution of programs for the Licking County County Center for 60+ Adults (LCCC).  Additional duties include developing new programming ideas by interacting with current members and local businesses.  This position directly affects every aspect of the organization’s program effectiveness and requires strong workload organization, prioritizing, and timely communications. 

 

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate recurring monthly programs 

    • Fresh Blooms, Lunch & Trivia, Let’s Celebrate, BINGO, Euchre Night, Euchre Day

  • Coordinate with staff recurring quarterly programs

    • Brunch & Learn, Lunch & Learn, Monday Fun Day

  • Coordinate with seasonal programs

    • GRD Lunches, Red, White, Cool Ice Cream & Tunes, Mind Body Soul, Granville Public Library Tech Class, Energy Cooperative

  • Record accurate daily program attendance on the Master Schedule

  • Provide program follow-up with handwritten thank-you notes

  • Work with the Volunteer and Membership Coordinator (VMC) to maintain up-to-date LCCC Planning Calendar 

  • Work with the VMC to schedule volunteers for programs,  events, and classes

  • Work with the Executive Director (ED)  to manage LCCC Cafe lunches while working with volunteers to execute all meals.

  • Set up tables and chairs for programs with assistance from staff and volunteers. 

  • Research and develop new programming by interacting with current members, staff, and the local community








 

Secondary Accountabilities: 

  • Attend weekly staff meetings on Mondays from 2 – 3 p.m. to communicate the programs, events, and classes in the upcoming week.   

  • Submit bi-monthly timesheets to the ED. 

  • Submit debit transaction receipts to ED.

  • Occasionally pick up meals at various vendors.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • This position requires the ability to lift and move program equipment up to 40lbs

  • Proficient with Google Drive 

  • Must be sensitive to confidential information, able to maintain discretion, and interact well with a diverse group of 60+ adults

  • Must develop a working relationship with and appreciation for volunteers 

  • Attend yearly CPR training and defibrillator usage.

Days and Hours:   LCCC open hours are 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday through Friday; the Programming Coordinator (PC) will work a maximum of 21 hours per week.  PC hours will be worked Monday, Wednesday, and alternating every other Thursday and Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.  Note that the Community Center schedule and staff vacations require flexibility in scheduling.
